June 21 is the International Giraffe Day. To celebrate the event, on June 18 from 9 to 19 at the Bioparco in Rome, there will be a series of activities dedicated to the little ones in honor of the highest mammal in the world.
From 10.30 to 13.30 and from 14.30 to 17.00, at the house of giraffes, families will be able to participate in workshops and activities by park operators that will reveal features and curiosities about the world of giraffes and the group present at the Biopark: the two females Dalia and Acacia and the male Magoma.
The giraffe is one of the many animal species that are suffering a significant decrease in the population. For this reason the themes of the day will be very focused on raising awareness of the topic, for young and old, thanks also to the patronage of the Giraffe Conservation Fund Association.
Do not miss the appointment with the animal meals: "Give food to Sofia", for example, which allows you to meet closely the Asian elephant of the biopark and listen to the curiosities told by its guardians.
